Video production generally involves a lot of complex equipments. Whenever we think of production a collection of huge cameras, microphones, sophisticated interfaces and a lot of other essential equipments fill our mind. Though the later part of the 20th century has made production quite affordable for consumer class as well, till very late video producing equipments were accessible to the affluent and professional few. This has resulted in wide spread popularity of video producing as a hobby as well as a profession in itself. Plays and dances were the elementary part of films earlier. There used to be a script and not much breakthrough in lights and shooting. If we watch the films in the earlier days, apart from classics like the Alfred Hitchcock series or video production of distinguished film producers, film production was mundane. The first television camera which was the earlier version of the cathode ray was considered as the first video production equipment. This gave rise to the first mobile video camera . Later of course Ampex Corporation used magnetic tape which gave birth to home video. The history of video production is fascinating and grows more complex and sophisticated with the interference of technology with creativity to bring out the best in the natural subject through technology. Soon after Sony came out with the video cassette which was very essential for recording huge amount of footage in a very convenient way. Later of course the digital camera found its way into common household with its unprecedented performance and won the heart of many aspiring photographers. The conceptualization of the modern camera however goes back to the camera obscura when light was invented through a small round hole and then projected onto a screen to bring the effect. However this image of the moving object could not be captured or recorded in a medium. In today's world all this is almost unthinkable. While even a small kid knows how to use a digital camera , video production now only requires concept and creativity and the right lenses. Moving images were first created with moving drums and disks in Britain. After that there was no looking back and with the advent of newer technology, innovations just bettered video production. Production giants like Sony and Kodak has a lot of contribution in making video production what it is today. However even before the microphone actually came into the big picture, a lot of silent movies were made to pave way for the sound effects that we hear today. There has been a lot of research behind having a successful video production. Nowadays there are courses and institutions to teach people about the basics of creating the best effect around a subject. This has in turn led to more and more experiments in video production and the results have just taken the whole concept to a newer level. A lot has happened in video production and we are still waiting to be delighted by better genius which not only captures the day to life but also creates fiction and animation to play with our imaginations.
